I grew up in Portland and then graduated from Pacific Lutheran University. After that I served in the Air National Guard for 8 years and worked at Merrill Lynch, Jantzen and then owned an apparel business for 36 years. My wife Brigita is an immigrant and we have been married for 50 years. One claim to ancestry fame is that my grandfather’s brother was Gutsum Borglum who was the sculptor of Mt. Rushmore.
