2023 Charbonneau Men’s Club Final Business Meeting

Breakfast in the Clubhouse followed by a 4-Man Scramble
Minutes:
Don1 led the morning breakfast group with the Pledge of Allegiance @ 7:05 am.
Estimate of 120 attending the breakfast. (Total 2023 membership – 236)
The Meeting Agenda was not printed. The Program involved thanking the Board
members for their work throughout the 2023 golf season. Foremost was
highlighting the success of all the various (Wed & Sat & Holiday) CMC
tournaments; special mention was made of the Men’s Invitational.
The return of the Invitational proved to be positive financially to the club and
Don1 recognized the hard work of the Spencer G group in reviving it. Chris Bensel
(Charbonneau Golf GM & PGA pro) will work with our Invitational planning group
for the 2024 event. Other Special recognition was directed to Matt and the
Grounds Crew for the excellent job done all season on the course conditions, also
Bill Stout for his chairing of the Golf Genius software and CMC Scoring.
Announcements were made to recognize the Flight champions, as well as, most
improved players (handicap difference between April 1 and today), and hole-inone achievers.
Two CMC Board retirements were announced: Don Mason, President and Don
Lloyd, Treasurer. Board member, Tim Tyler, has agreed to stay on the Board for
another term. Two new Board members were approved by voice vote: Mike
Williams and Ron Swanson. Their bio sketches will be posted on our CMC
website. Also announced was our other new Board member of two months,
Lloyd Johnson.
Market Place (Nicole) provided a nice breakfast buffet. The Business Meeting
adjourned at 8:20 am. The Shotgun start of the Scramble was expected at 9 am.
